The company is a valued partner for customers from all over the world when it comes to shirting, mobility, African damasks and technical fabrics. Getzner Textil employs approximately 1,600 people at eight sites and generated a turnover of 306 million euros in 2017. The Getzner Group consists of Getzner Textil AG and its sister company Getzner Werkstoffe, which develops vibration damping solutions for the rail and construction sectors and industrial applications.
Over the past few years, the company has invested substantially in its expertise, infrastructure and resources, especially in the technical textiles area. Besides the main site in Bludenz, it is above all the company's site in Bayreuth, which is home to its two subsidiaries SR Webatex and Blaha Texilveredelung, that has evolved into an important contributor in the technical textiles area. Thanks to the wide range of possibilities offered by our production facilities, our in-house laboratories, our own R&D department and our many years of experience, we are the perfect partner for our customers in terms of solution delivery.
From product development to just-in-time supply, we offer top-quality fabric innovations "Made in Europe".
At our in-house laboratories in Bludenz and Bayreuth, we not only develop the textiles of the future for our customers but also regularly monitor our standards, processes and of course all of our fabrics. We employ state-of-the-art equipment, established procedures and highly qualified specialists. Especially in the area of technical fabrics, the decisive factors for success are 100% reliability, absolute functionality and zero tolerance. To guarantee this, we are constantly investing in equipment for our laboratories and in the qualification of our employees.
Our technical textiles division manufactures its products both at the main site in Bludenz and also at two other sites in Bayreuth. We produce low-stretch, high-tenacity yarns and high-quality, light and heavy filament yarns which we then use to make fabrics up to a maximum width of 380cm and with thread weights from 10 - 900g/m2. These fabrics are used for a wide range of different purposes.
We know what we are doing and that we can do it well. However, we also regularly undergo external audits and inspections in order to get an objective opinion of our expertise. The numerous certificates held by our sites are the best proof that we keep what we promise.
The standard conditions of the German textile industry define the relevant payment and delivery conditions which were agreed between industry and trade.
